Phoenician Glass Round Bauble

Multicolour lines twirl around these wonderful cobalt blue Phoenician Glass baubles bringing an extra special beauty to Christmas and seasonal decorations.  Handmade in Palestine by artisans whose family has been making Phoenician Glass for centuries, in buying these baubles you are supporting them, plus proceeds from sales go to Medical Aid for Palestinians' Emergency Fund for Gaza.

Each bauble is unique in size and patterning but the approximate sizes are height 9cm and width 7cm.

Hebron Glass make their Phoenician Glass using reclaimed glass from local families and businesses and power their kilns with reclaimed fuel from local garages. This not only makes their products more sustainable but enables them to overcome some of the restrictions of living under Occupation. The technique they use to make the glass is one the family has refined over hundreds of years and that was first introduced to the area around 50BCE. During this process air bubbles form on the surface of the glass and may burst as it cools causing what appears to be separation in the colours or a tiny fault, but this is a characteristic of the technique.
